In an exciting collaboration, Disc Golf Worldwide and Rock n River are thrilled to announce the grand opening tournament for the brand-new Rock n River Disc Golf Course! We invite you to a truly unforgettable week of camping, disc golf, and celebration.
This incredible course, designed by disc golf visionary Danny Diaz of Disc Golf Worldwide, is set amidst the breathtaking Doi Saket mountains of Chiang Mai province in Thailand. You will not want to miss what we have in store for you.

New Year's Eve
But there's an even more important reason for these dates: the annual New Year's Eve festival hosted by Rock n River and PangFan Resort.
Disc golf is still emerging in Thailand, and we're incredibly excited to feature it as a highlight of this massive celebration, exposing the sport to over 1,500+ local Thai residents from across northern Thailand.
On New Year's Eve, after the sun sets, we're hosting glow golf! This open invitation allows anyone to come and experience the magic. By participating in the camping event, you become an ambassador for the sport, welcoming hundreds of potential new players to the game.
A Camping Pass covers where you sleep, eat, and play all week. A separate Tournament Entry gets you into the ProAm cash divisions. Buy either on its own, or get both.

Visionary TD
Paddy has been the Tournament Director for most of Pattaya's disc golf tournaments over the past six years. His main goal has always been simple: great course, good people, and an even better vibe.
He loves bringing players together, creating fun and memorable events, and ensuring everyone has a brilliant day out, whether they're chasing the win or just here to hang with the awesome Asian DG scene.
Despite six years of organizing tournaments, Paddy has somehow managed to avoid getting particularly good at disc golf himself. Fortunately, he's much better at running tournaments than playing in them!
He's delighted to be TD for the Rock & River Disc Golf Tournament and looks forward to another weekend of great throws, questionable throws, and excellent company — all set against the backdrop of Thailand's most beautiful course.
Paddy is joined by an unparalleled team of disc golf veterans:
A true legend of the sport, Derek got his first Frisbee in 1973 and played his first tournament in 1977. He was UK Tour Champion from 1990 to 2012, has competed in 40 countries, and was European Champion in MP40, MP50, and MP65. In 2004, Derek was inducted into the World Disc Golf Hall of Fame! Since 1994, he has owned, created, and run Quarry Park course in Leamington Spa, England — widely rated as the highest course in the country.
Danny has been helping to grow disc golf in Southeast Asia since late 2018, when he moved to Thailand. He's been an avid supporter throughout the region but his primary focus has been in the province of Chiang Mai. With a focus on grassroots and community service, he's been able to build multiple disc golf courses on land without paying any rent, and every course achieved a multi-year lifespan. One notable course was LRG (Lanna Rock Garden Disc Golf Course), which ran for 4 years for free and was a jewel of a course in the Doi Suthep mountains. If you ask him, he would probably say that his new project, Rock N' River Disc Golf Course, is LRG resurrected times 20!

ON TOP OF THAT, all profits from the camping event will go towards sponsoring 30 local Thai students and faculty to join us and ring in the New Year!
